A Khulna court sentenced 12 people to life imprisonment for their involvement in the murder of Kornumoyee Sardar. They were also fined Tk. 10,000/- each. The District judge AKM Ishtiaque Hossain found Abdul Hye Ghazi, Hakim Shaikh, Surman Morol, Abul Kashem, Pabitra Biswas, Nailakkha Baidda, Md Faruque, Barek Member, Jiad Sardar, Pradip Kumar, Liaquat Sardar and Bhabha Ranjan Roy guilty.
